After four standout seasons with the Eagles, Kevin Patullo has been promoted to offensive coordinator, providing valuable continuity for both the coaching staff and quarterback Jalen Hurts heading into the 2025 season.

Patullo steps up after former OC Kellen Moore departed to become head coach of the New Orleans Saints. Having served as the team’s passing game coordinator since 2021 and associate head coach since 2023, this promotion feels like a natural progression for the seasoned coach entering his 16th NFL season.

“Around the league, the offenses are kind of evolving every year and so as a coach, that’s your job. You have to evolve,” Patullo said before the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory.

His impact on Philadelphia’s offense has been undeniable. Since joining Nick Sirianni’s staff in 2021, the Eagles rank among the NFL’s elite in several key categories:

  • 4th in offensive EPA
  • 2nd in passing yards per attempt
  • 2nd in fewest interceptions
  • 3rd in points scored

Coach Sirianni couldn’t speak more highly of his trusted advisor: “I can’t tell you that I make a decision without saying to Kevin first, ‘What do you think?’ That’s in everything. That’s in-game, out of game, with scheduling, offensive stuff, game-management stuff… Can’t be great without the greatness of others.”

Patullo’s journey includes playing quarterback and receiver at South Florida before coaching stints with the Chiefs, Bills, Titans, Jets, and Colts. His experience coaching both QBs and receivers gives him a unique perspective.

“Being able to coach both positions, you can really marry the two,” Patullo explained. “I think you can teach the guys a perspective that they’re not used to hearing.”

With Patullo at the helm, Eagles fans have every reason to be optimistic about the offense’s continued evolution in 2025.
