I can’t begin to tell you how happy I was when the notification came across my screen that Zack Baun resigned with the Eagles.
We saw the Eagles making some moves in the past week, including extending Saquon’s contract for another two years. The one person that I wanted the Eagles to resign and lock up was Zack Baun, and the more it got closer to Free Agency, the more I was worried. It was like the Super Bowl. The week before I wasn’t nervous but the more news and stupid crap I read online made me nervous about the game. The same happened with Zack Baun when it was reported that Howie might let some key players leave or go. I’m so glad that wasn’t the case.
March 5th, after I posted asking if the Eagles will resign Zack, that’s exactly what they do, making him the highest-paid linebacker in the league. Baun’s contract is $51 million over three years, with $34 million guaranteed. Plus, he has the chance to make another $1.5 million in incentives.
Just look at his stats! In every play, you always saw Zack part of the action. He’s definitely one of the reasons the Eagles had an awesome Defense this year and went to the Super Bowl.
