Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles news and links …

2026 NFL mock draft: Kiper’s pick predictions for Rounds 1-2 – ESPN
23) Philadelphia Eagles. Blake Miller, OT, Clemson. The Eagles don’t typically let future needs become current problems. General manager Howie Roseman is tactful in how he keeps the roster stocked with depth and future replacements. The question here, though, is whether Roseman will add the next in line behind receiver A.J. Brown (trade candidate) or offensive tackle Lane Johnson (turning 36). The value is better for the latter in this projection, and Miller is a perfect fit after playing over 3,500 snaps at right tackle in college. 54) Philadelphia Eagles. Oscar Delp, TE, Georgia. Dallas Goedert is back for one more year, but the Eagles need more options at tight end, not to mention a succession plan for the 31-year-old if he doesn’t return in 2027. Delp’s stats aren’t going to wow you (20 catches for 261 yards and one TD in 2025), but he’s effective with the ball in his hands and has some potential to his game. And the Eagles love the Georgia pipeline.

2026 NFL Mock Draft: Philadelphia Eagles pick offensive tackle – BGN
There is nothing accidental about how Howie Roseman builds a roster. The philosophy is deliberate, repeatable, and rooted in a single conviction: elite traits win in the trenches. Year after year, premium draft capital is allocated to offensive and defensive line prospects who defy traditional scouting comfort zones. They are not always polished. They are not always “safe.” But they are almost always rare—defined by size, explosiveness, and developmental elasticity. That approach has produced one of the NFL’s most dominant and sustainable offensive lines, anchored by pillars such as Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata. The latter, once a rugby convert with minimal football experience, has evolved into an All-Pro cornerstone—proof of concept for Philadelphia’s developmental model. As the 2026 NFL Draft approaches, the Eagles appear positioned to execute that model once again. Max Iheanachor is not just a fit. He is the next iteration.

Three takeaways from Eagles’ Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni’s pre-draft news conference – PHLY
Overall, Roseman and Sirianni not taking the opportunity to give Hurts a strong vote of confidence publicly is noteworthy here, and further affirms what’s becoming clearer: Next year will likely be a pivotal one for the franchise quarterback to both preserve that title moving forward and earn an extension that cements his status as such.

Eight takeaways from Howie Roseman’s pre-draft press conference – PhillyVoice
JimmySays: Roseman seemed to be concerned that the perception was that personnel currently with the team leaked information to ESPN, who published the article in question. It seemed to me like he wanted to make it known that if there are issues with players, the team will address them with players directly, as opposed to getting messages across via the media. However, he did not dispute anything written in the article, and he did not say positive things about Hurts’ standing with the team, which was part of the question.

Eagles’ draft approach focuses on what a player can be in Year 3 – PFT
“To come in and expect 21, 22 23-year-old players to be the best version of themselves, it’s probably a little naive,” Roseman said. “So just like all of us, these players need to be developed. We’ve got to figure out the things they are further along with and developed, and then have a lot of trust in our player development staff, our coaching staff, the people in this building to get the best out of them. Figure out what their strength is, what their weakness is, and work on those, get the best out of the player. A lot of time in the draft, we talk about, What could this player be in Year 3?”

Reagor, Dillard, Fireman Danny; How Howie Roseman learned from draft disasters – NBCSP
How often does he think about guys like Watkins, Smith, Reagor and Dillard? “Yeah, a lot,” he said. “You know, I think about the first-round picks that I’ve missed on, I don’t know, every day, really, if I’m being honest with myself.” Roseman hasn’t whiffed on a 1st-round pick since Reagor in 2020. When you think about it, four of his first nine 1st-round picks – Watkins in 2011, Smith in 2014, Dillard in 2019 and Reagor in 2020 – were busts. But his last six are DeVonta Smith, Jordan Davis, Nolan Smith, Jalen Carter, Quinyon Mitchell and Jihaad Campbell. We still don’t know exactly what Smith will be, but he’s done enough already – mainly in the 2024 postseason – that it was at worst a good pick. And it’s too early to draw any conclusions about Campbell, but the Eagles remain very high on him. Really, the only guy Roseman has drafted in the first three rounds since 2021 who didn’t become a consistent starter is Brown, a 3rd-round pick in 2023. That’s one out of 15 guys drafted in the first three rounds of the last five drafts.

23) Philadelphia Eagles: Kadyn Proctor, OT/G, Alabama. This pairing has been mocked to death, and I almost changed it just for variety’s sake. But it makes sense for Philadelphia. Proctor can compete for a starting role at guard as a rookie, while also giving the Eagles a long-term succession plan behind right tackle Lane Johnson.

2026 NFL mock draft … with a twist! What every team SHOULD do in Round 1 – NFL.com
I know you might be tempted to move up for a receiver. You probably don’t need to. Whether or not you keep A.J. Brown, Cooper is the kind of player Philly fans would fall in love with: a master at contested catches who is fearless over the middle.

Artemis II astronaut just gave Eagles fans the ultimate flex – 6ABC
When Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch went to the moon, she brought her love of the Philadelphia Eagles along for the ride. On Tuesday, Koch posted photos to Instagram showing her Eagles fandom in space, writing: “Going to the moon may have been my Super Bowl, but I sure loved watching yours. My husband introduced me to this team and city – gritty, hard-working and embodying the underdog mentality. Now I’m all in. As a surprise for him, I flew confetti from Super Bowl 59 around the moon.”

This is the final window for Cowboys to trade George Pickens – Blogging The Boys
Even though there are many Cowboys fans against the idea of trading George Pickens, as with anything, there is always a price that can move someone off of their position. Whether you think the Cowboys should or shouldn’t trade Pickens, the reality is that the 2026 NFL Draft is next week. This is important as it offers the last practical opportunity to deal Pickens. If he is going to get traded, it would stand to reason that it would be sometime before the draft’s conclusion.

New Washington Commanders helmet and jerseys revealed – Hogs Haven
The Washington Commanders announced last month that a new alternate helmet and uniform were debuting today, April 15th, and that day has arrived! The Commanders introduced white ‘Super Bowl Era’ alternates last season that are expected to replace the current uniforms. Washington has now debuted a burgundy that is expected to eventually replace the current burgundy jerseys. The Commanders’ ‘Battle Black’ uniforms are staying with some major changes. The team has been using their current uniforms since Dan Snyder changed the name for a second time, and his wife Tanya helped design the much-maligned lineup.

Mel Kiper mock draft: Caleb Downs over Sonny Styles for NY Giants at No. 5 – Big Blue View
When I am faced with the Downs vs. Sonny Styles choice in my weekly mock drafts, I keep choosing Styles. The majority of analysts and mock drafters do the same, and oddsmakers think Styles would be the choice. I keep coming back, though, to John Harbaugh and his history with great safeties — Brian Dawkins with the Philadelphia Eagles, Ed Reed and Kyle Hamilton with the Baltimore Ravens. Not to mention the fact that Giants defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson was a safety as a player. As much as I love the athletic upside of Styles, I do wonder if Harbaugh and Wilson would prefer to start molding their defense with a safety like Downs.

NFL Draft rumors on Cowboys trade scenarios, Steelers intel, Jeremiyah Love’s ‘floor,’ and more – SB Nation
Cowboys trying to jump the Giants? The past few weeks have seen significant chatter that the Dallas Cowboys are one of the few teams looking to trade up in the 2026 NFL Draft, with the team linked to a potential move to No. 6 in a deal with the Cleveland Browns. That would get the Cowboys ahead of one of their long-time rivals, the Washington Commanders at No. 7. But is Jerry Jones trying to get ahead of a different NFC East rival, the New York Giants at No. 5? NFL Insider Jordan Schultz — who has already made the case that several trades could happen when the draft begins — wrote on Tuesday that there is a growing belief that the Cowboys are moving up to target a player the Giants also have their eyes on.
