The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced four practice squad moves on Thursday afternoon. Here’s an overview:
- CB Eli Ricks and EDGE Antwaun Powell-Ryland were signed to the practice squad.
- EDGE K.J. Henry and DT Jacob Sykes were released.
So, the Eagles just undid the Thursday practice squad swap where they signed Henry and Sykes and cut Ricks and APR.
Why did they do that, exactly?
It’s basically a way to work around the 16-player practice squad limit.
So, there you go.
I’m sure we’ll see Howie Roseman continue to churn the bottom of the practice squad in the coming weeks.
