Before the second Sunday of the 2025 regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the lines for the NFL Week 2 games.
You can CLICK HERE for straight up NFL picks without regard to the spread. You can find all of the NFL betting lines via FanDuel.
My overall record is 7-9, which is the same record as the BGN Community.
Here are suggestions when trying to beat the odds.
NFL WEEK 2 GAMES
CLEVELAND BROWNS at BALTIMORE RAVENS (-12.5): The Browns are not going to have a good record this season … except against the spread. PICK: Browns +12.5
LOS ANGELES RAMS (-5.5) at TENNESSEE TITANS: It appears that Matthew Stafford isn’t cooked. Also, their defense could be good? Cam Ward and co. are a work in progress. PICK: Rams -5.5
CHICAGO BEARS at DETROIT LIONS (-6.5): I’d feel awful about putting faith in Caleb Williams. It sure seems like he stinks. PICK: Lions -6.5
BUFFALO BILLS (-5.5) at NEW YORK JETS: Taking the points here is probably a popular pick. Justin Fields looked good in Week 1! The Bills almost lost! Don’t fall for it. This line tells you that the Jets aren’t actually any good. PICK: Bills -5.5
NEW YORK GIANTS at DALLAS COWBOYS (-4.5): Suspicious that the Cowboys aren’t favored by more since this Giants team stinks. New York might have some hope when they finally put Jaxson Dart in. Until then, they’re going nowhere with a cooked Russell Wilson played behind an offensive line missing their top starter. This is my Lock Of The Week. PICK: Cowboys -4.5
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (-3) at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS: I like the Saints to win outright. Brock Purdy and George Kittle being out sure isn’t nothing and the Saints actually showed some fight in Week 1. San Fran’s vibes are bad. PICK: Saints +3
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS at MIAMI DOLPHINS (-2.5): The Dolphins’ vibes are horrendous. But I’m not sure the Pats are any good and they’ve specifically struggled to play well in Miami. PICK: Dolphins -2.5
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at CINCINNATI BENGALS (-3.5): The Bengals were largely outplayed by the Browns in Week 1. Not really sure about that Cincy defense. The Jags could very well either win or lose this game by the difference of a field goal. PICK: Jaguars +3.5
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS at PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-3): I’m buying the Stillers with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback. And I’m fading Sam Darnold. Especially with the Seahawks making an 11:00 AM Pacific time start. PICK: Steelers -3
DENVER BRONCOS (-2.5) at INDIANAPOLIS COLTS: Daniel Jones and the Colts looking good in Week 1 might be one of those anomalies that don’t translate to Week 2. Indy being home dogs after a performance like that raises questions. PICK: Broncos -2.5
CAROLINA PANTHERS at ARIZONA CARDINALS (-7): Bryce Young just don’t got the juice. PICK: Cardinals -7
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-1.5) at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS: Patrick Mahomes has NEVER won as a home underdog (0-1). What if the Eagles just have the Chiefs’ number? PICK: Eagles -1.5
ATLANTA FALCONS at MINNESOTA VIKINGS (-3.5): J.J. McCarthy might be able to play? Seems like Michael Penix might be able to, too. Could be a pretty good battle between two first-round quarterbacks from the 2024 NFL Draft. Of these two teams, it’s hard not to give the Vikings more benefit of the doubt. Better coaching staff. PICK: Vikings -3.5
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS at HOUSTON TEXANS (-2.5): The Bucs are dangerous and they’ll only get better once Tristan Wirfs and Chris Godwin are back. But they might stumble a bit in the short-term outlook. The Texans will be trying hard to avoid dropping to 0-2 at home. PICK: Texans -2.5
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (-3) at LAS VEGAS RAIDERS: Both teams have surprisingly good vibes. The Bolts are coming off that trip to Brazil, so, maybe there are some issues there. And Pete Carroll seems to have energized this Raiders team. He’s going to have his players leaning into the home underdog angle. PICK: Raiders +3
